Change begins with a vision, and for Navumeed Foundation, that vision started in February 2023 with the belief that sustainable development is not just an idea but a necessity for India’s future.
Avinash Saroj, the founder of Navumeed Foundation, is a postgraduate from TISS in Ecology, Environment, and Sustainable Development and also holds a Master’s degree in Economics. With a deep understanding of environmental challenges, social inequalities, and policy frameworks, he recognized the need for action beyond academic discussions and policy papers.
Having worked extensively in the political and development sector, he witnessed the gaps in implementation when it came to climate action, education, livelihood opportunities, and public health. This realization led to the birth of Navumeed Foundation—a platform dedicated to translating global sustainability goals into local action.
Under his leadership, the foundation has taken impactful steps to bridge the divide between policies and people. Be it working on climate resilience, women’s empowerment, or community-driven projects, his approach is rooted in practicality and long-term impact.
