“End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture”
In a country with overflowing godowns and strong agricultural roots, hunger still affects millions. As per the Global Hunger Index 2024, India ranks 105 out of 125 countries, highlighting the seriousness of undernutrition, especially among children and women.
Despite improvements in food grain production, the issue lies in distribution, accessibility, and nutrition awareness. Millions of children suffer from stunted growth, wasting, and anemia, while farmers often face unstable markets, climate shocks, and lack of support services.
At Navumeed Foundation, we believe hunger is not just the absence of food—it’s a failure of systems. Our focus is on nutrition security, food access, and sustainable farming practices that work for both people and the planet.
